Light detection and ranging
ZEYE is developed for determining ranges (variable distance) by targeting an object with a laser and measuring the time for the reflected light to return to the receiver.
ZEYE can make digital 3-D representations of areas and objects due to differences in laser return times, and by varying laser wavelengths.
Lidar is mostly investigated in control and navigation for some autonomous cars.
ZEYE is currently developing to make high-resolution maps, with applications in geomatics, geography, geology, geomorphology, seismology, forestry, laser altimetry, laser guidance, etc.
