Dr. Han Young-geun, Optical Technology Research Center, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) was registered at the same time in the 2005 edition of "Marquis Who's Who in the world", a global biographical dictionary, in the science and engineering departments.
Published in 1899, "Marquis Who's Who" is one of the three most prestigious biographical dictionary in the world, along with the International Biographical Centre (IBC) and the American Biographical Institute (ABI). People who has achieved outstanding achievements in the fields of economics, science and technology, and the arts are included. Candidates are examined with the articles published in global academic journals registered in the Science Citation Index(SCI). So far, 450 Koreans have been listed, including former President Park Chung-hee.
Dr. Han Young-geun has published more than 35 papers in SCI, including the world-famous Optics Letters, for his research on optical devices and lasers, and has registered more than 13 patents in the US, Japan and Germany.
Recently, he received the Excellence Paper Prize from the Conference on Optoelectronics and Optical Communications (COOC). In addition, he is active as a reviewer of the 'Journal of the Optical Society of America', 'Optics communications', 'American Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering', and 'Korean Journal of Optics and Photonics', and he is serving as a CTO of the company METAPLE BIO.
